How do I know meters on a reel?
The reel spec gives a basis like "2号-150m". For another gauge, assuming equal line volume, capacity = spec length × spec gauge ÷ target gauge. e.g. a 2号-150m spool holds ~100m of 3号.
Why does thicker line spool less?
Thicker line takes more volume per wrap, so less length fits — capacity is inversely proportional to gauge.
Is it exact?
It is theoretical. Braid, backing, tension and spool shape cause differences, so use it as a guide.
