How is actual fertilizer calculated?
Actual = target nutrient ÷ (content ÷ 100). e.g. 20kg N via urea (46% N) needs 20 ÷ 0.46 ≈ 43.5kg.
Where is the content?
The bag shows guaranteed N-P-K (%). Urea is 46% N; compound fertilizers vary by product.
Why differ from nutrient amount?
Fertilizer is not 100% nutrient, so you divide the target by the content to get the actual product weight.
